Helton was born Abt 1885 and died 1-9-1955 (Ga. DC# 00156) and is buried in Danville City Cemetery. From The Macon Telegraph 1-12-1955 page 3 Benjamin F. Helton Benjamin F. Helton, retired lumberman of Danville, whose death occurred in a local hospital Sunday evening, will be held at the Danville Methodist Church at 3:30PM today. The Rev. James Callahan will officiate and burial will be in the Danville Cemetery, with the Cool Springs Masonic Lodge conducting graveside services. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Hannah Mae Chance, Danville; two daughters, Mrs. Gaydon Swann, Old Fort, SC and Mrs. Willis Allen, Irwinton; one son, H. F. Helton, Danville; four sisters, Mrs. Joe Kemp, Toomsboro,Mrs. Lelia Martin, Toomsboro, Mrs. Susan Trackenberg, New Orleans and Mrs. Jack Perry, Danville; two brothers, O. L. Helton, Macon and B. C. Helton, Toomsboro; one grandson, Gaydon Swann Jr., Old Fort, SC and several nieces and nephews.
