DC# 17994) and is buried at the Danville City Cemetery. From The Macon Telegraph 8-14-1957 page 11 Mrs. Hannah Helton Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Helton of Irwinton, who died in a local hospital at 6:40PM Monday after a long illness, will be held in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Twiggs County at 4PM today. The body will lie in state from 3 to 4PM. The Rev. Jimmy Callahan and the Rev. Paul Jones will officiate and burial will be in Danville. Mrs. Helton, widow of Benjamin F. Helton, was born at Danville, the daughter of William C. Chance and Mrs. Caroline Lee Chance and has made her home in Irwinton for the last two years, moving from Danville. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, H. F. Helton, Danville; two daughters, Mrs. Gayden Swann, Old Fort, SC and Mrs. Willis Allen, with whom she has made her home, Irwinton; a grandson, Gayden Swann Jr., Old Fort, SC; a brother, J. S. Chance, Danville; a sister, Mrs. S. B. Grimsley, Jacksonville, Fla. and several nieces and nephews. Hart's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
