Holland, 19, of 2874 Jeffersonville Road, died early yesterday in a local hospital of burns received last Thursday as she attempted to rescue her baby from the family's burning house trailer. Funeral services will be held at 3pm Wednesday in the Swift Creek Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Bibb sheriff's deputies said the young mother was rescued from the flaming trailer by her husband, Warren Benny Holland, who then entered through a rear window and brought out their 19-month-old daughter, Angel Gwinett. Holland and the child were treated for minor burns in the emergency room of the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Investigating officers said Mrs. Holland was burned over 65 per cent of her body. A native of Gordon, she was the former Sarah Lavender. She attended Twiggs County schools and was a member of Swift Creek United Methodist Church. Other than her husband, Mrs. Holland is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Lavender of Gordon; two brothers, Thomas Lavender and Lonnie Lavender, both of Gordon; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Tisdale of Macon and Mrs. Shirley Schlueter of Gordon.
