 Carolyn Elma Sheffield Howell  
 
-DANVILLE - Carolyn Elma Sheffield Howell, 61, of US Hwy 80, died Friday at her
residence. -Services will be held Sunday, January 27, 2002 in Reece Funeral Home
in Jeffersonville. Burial will be in the Danville City Cemetery. Minister Steven
Bedard will officiate. -Ms. Howell, a native of Wilkinson County, lived most of
her life in Danville, moving there from Macon. She was the daughter of the late
James Carol and Elma Payne Sheffield Raley. She was the step-daughter of the
late Charlie Raley, Sr. Ms. Howell was a homemaker and a member of the Church of
Christ in Gordon. -Survivors include her children, James Freddy Howell, Darryl
Randall Howell, Tracy Neal Howell, Cecil Derek Howell and Sandy Carole Wasdin,
all of Danville; brothers and sisters, Gladys Raley of Cary, Irene Mead of
Lizella, J.C. Sheffield, Jr. of Griswoldville, Billy Raley of Danville, and
Dyrle Raley of Cochran; grandchildren, Jessica Howell, Amanda Howell, Michael
Howell, Dustin Howell, DeAnna Howell, Katie Howell, Kristina Howell, Derek
Howell, Jr., Anna Howell, Amber Howell, Nicky Wasdin, Thomas Wasdin, II, and
James Wasdin; daughters-in-law, Sharon Howell, Rebecca Howell and Angela Howell;
son-in-law, Thomas Wasdin. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Tiffany
Howell. -The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00P.M. Saturday in
the funeral home. -Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrangements.
