(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net May 8, 2012, 7:19 pm The Union Recorder 10-28-1968 Terrell Smith Taken By death The death of James Terrell Smith, 67, occurred last Saturday and services were held Sunday at Liberty Baptist Church with burial following in Nunn and Wheeler Cemetery. The Rev. Joe A. Moore, the Rev. Tom Farmer, and the Rev. Norman Williams officiated. Mr. Smith was a native of Wilkinson County and was for many years a resident of Baldwin County where he was a merchant until his retirement. He was a member of the Baldwin County Democratic Executive Committee and Justice of the Peace in the 1714 District. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Laura Stewart Smith, Milledgeville; one son, James Curtis Smith of Milledgeville; two daughters, Mrs. Lucile Roberts of Monroe, NC and Mrs. Myrtle Turner of Statesboro; two brothers, P. W. Smith of Macon and Harvey J. Smith of Toomsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Ophalia Parker and Mrs. Eulaliah Youngblood, Toomsboro and Mrs. Pearl Vinson of Milledgeville. There are nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Additional Comments: Terrell was born 10 Oct 1901 to Francisd Marion Smith and Hallie Doke Smith. Georgia death certificate #031574.
