All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Michael Knight mknight17@hotmail.com April 11, 2006, 11:48 am The Bulletin published in Irwinton, Wilkinson County, GA dated Friday, Nov. 23, 1925 This is copied from a clipping in The Bulletin published in Irwinton, Wilkinson County, GA, and it is dated Friday, Nov. 27, 1923: Funeral services for Mr. Braswell Wynn of Wilkinson County, one of the best known farmers, church man, and all-around citizen of that county were held at Salem Church where he was a member for more that 60 years, Wednesday at 11:00 o'clock. Mr. Wynn was known over Wilkinson and Lauren Counties. He was a large farmer, a man whose fields brought forth bountifully and who lived in plenty. He was the leading member of his church for so many years that many do not remember for how long. His home was famous all over this section for hospitality, and his own private character was marked for his religious activities, his general high moral conduct and principles, and his unfailing charity. Mr. Wynn lived all of his life, except during the time he served in the Civil War as a Confederate Soldier, at the place where he died, which was his father's old home. He was the youngest of 23 children by his father's first wife and all of his own brothers and sisters have preceded him to the grave. He was 85 years of age at the time of his death. His father lived in the time of President Washington's second administration it was stated here today. Mr. Wynn leaves several children, two of whom, Mrs. J.B. Keen and Mrs. Nellis Finney live in Dublin and a half brother at Dublin, Mr. W.R. Wynn. Others surviving him are his children Messrs. R.L.; N.J., and S.B. Wynn of Wilkinson County. Mrs. Gus Watkins of Toomsboro, Mrs. Jas. Taylor of Stephensville, Miss Nora Wynn of Wilkinson County. Also a half sister, Mrs. S.A. Braswell of Sebastian, Florida.
