1859-1928

This is the headstone for James Thomas Dennard and his wife Missouri Brooks.  
James Thomas Dennard was born in Wilkinson County in 1863.  He was the son of 
William Marshall Dennard and Susan Fort.  He married Missouri Brooks on May 4, 
1880.  He died in Wilkinson County, GA on July 31, 1940.  Missouri Brooks was 
born on January 25, 1859 in Wilkinson County.  She was the daughter of Daniel 
H. Brooks and Narcissa Draughan.  (There is some dispute about who her parents 
were but these are her actual parents as stated on her death certificate.  She 
died July 11, 1928 in Wilkinson County, GA.
