Will of Hiram Jones 11 Sep 1844 Wilkinson County, GA County of Wilkinson State of Georgia Will of Hiram Jones I, Hiram Jones, of the county and State aforesaid, being of sound mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament. First, I give my soul to God who gave it, and my body to its mother dust, being decently buried. SECONDLY. I want my beloved wife, Sara Jones, and the heirs of her body to have my whole estate, both real and personal, during her lifetime or widowhood, after the payment of my just debts. THIRD, If she intermarries, I want the whole of my estate to go to her children. FOURTH. I want the property to be in her care to work for her support and maintenance of child. FIFTH. I want my brother, Gabriel Jones, to assist my wife, Sarah, in taking my will to court and have it recorded and make settlements with them that hold debts against me out of my estate.
