I, James Lord, of the said state and county, being of advanced age, deem it right and proper as regards to myself and family that I should make a distribution of the property with which a kind Providence has blessed me. I therefore make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and annulling all others heretofore made by me. ITEM 1. I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian-like manner, suitable to my circumstances and conditions. My soul I trust shall return to rest with God, who gave it. ITEM 2. I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my Executors hereinafter named, as I am unwilling my creditors should be delayed of their rights, as there is no necessity for delay. ITEM 3. I give and bequeath to my son, George W. Lord, one lot of land No. 280 in the Third District of Wilkinson County, containing 202 acres, more or less, with all the rights, members to said lot of land anywise appertaining, and appurtenances or belongings, free from all charges and limitations whatever to his own use, benefit and behoove forever. ITEM 4. I give and bequeath to my son, James E. Lord, one lot of land No. 225 in the Third District of Wilkinson County, containing 200 acres, more or less, with all the rights, members to said lot of land in anywise appertaining and appurtenances or belongings, free from all charges and limitations whatever to his own use, benefit and behoove forever. ITEM 5. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Martha Cannon, one lot of land , lying in the Second District of Wilkinson County, No. 225, being 180 acres, more or less, with all the rights, members and appurtenances to said lot of land in anywise appertaining, and appurtenances or belongings, free from all charges and limitations whatever to her own proper use, benefit and behoove forever. ITEM 6. I give and bequeath to my son, Ferney I. Lord, one lot of land, No. 279, containing 202 acres, more or less; also lot of land No. 280 containing 102 acres more or less, lying in the Second District of Wilkinson County, with all the rights, members and appurtenances or belongings to said lots of land free from all charges or limitations whatever to his own proper use and benefit and behoove forever. ITEM 7. I give and bequeath to my son, John B. Lord, one lot of land containing 195 acres, more or less, it being part of Lot No.133 and known as the Chandler lot of land adjoining Joel T. Coney and others, with all the rights, members and appurtenances to said lot of land in anywise appertaining or belonging, free from all charges or limitations whatever to his own proper use, benefit and behoove forever. ITEM 8. I give and bequeath to my son George W. Lord, one lot of land containing 195 acres, more or less, and known and distinguished as lot No. 247, also known as the old homestead lot, with the exception of one acre, known as the family burying ground situated on said lot, in consideration of which the said George W. Lord is to pay each heir $400.00 respectively, viz.: James E. Lord, Martha Cannon, Ferney I. Lord and John B. Lord, to be paid as follows: to each heir above named $200.00 12 months after decease and then 12 more months to pay each of said mentioned heirs $200.00 more, making in the aggregate $400.00 each, which is the consideration. The foregoing eighth item with all rights, members and appurtenances to said lot of land in anywise appertaining or belonging free from all charges or limitations whatsoever to his own proper use, benefit and behoove forever. ITEM 9. I give and bequeath to my wife, Leah Lord, forty dollars paid annually out of my estate during her natural life or widowhood. ITEM 10. The rest of my property, both real and personal, wherever and whatever it may be, I devise and bequeath to my before mentioned five children forever. ITEM 11. I constitute and appoint my five children namely: George W. Lord, James E. Lord, F. I. Lord, John B. Lord, Executors, and Martha Cannon, Executrix to this my last will and testament, this 27th day of (illegible) 1884. James Lord.
