D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven, personally appeared before me, James T. Hancock, a Justice of the Peace within and for the State and County aforesaid Robert D. Sinclair, aged fifty three years a resident of Worth County in the State of Georgia, who being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is the identical person who was a private in the company commanded by Captain James Harrison ordered out by Governor George M. Troup of the State of Georgia, for the protection and defense of the frontier against the depredations and murders committed by the Creeks or Seminole Indians, that he volunteered and was mustered into service on the fifth day of June in the year eighteen hundred and twenty four and continued in actual service in said service for the term of fifteen days, and was honorably discharged at Marion in Twiggs County in said state in August in the year eighteen hundred and twenty four. He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the bounty land to which he may be entitled under the act approved March 3, 1855. He also declares that he has not received a warrant for bounty land under this or any other act of Congress nor made any other application therefor. Robert D. Sinclair Mr. James G. Brown And Luke M. Jenkins Residents of Worth County in the State of Georgia upon our oath declare that the foregoing declaration was signed and acknowledged by Robert D. Sinclair in our presence and that we believe from the appearance and statement of the applicant that he is the identical person he represents himself to be. James G. Brown Luke M. Jenkins The foregoing declaration and affidavit were sworn to and subscribed before me on the day and year above written, and I certify that I know the affiants to be credible persons, that the claimant is the person he represents himself to be and that I have no interest in this claim. State of Georgia Worth County I Edward Barber Clerk of the Superior Court of said state and county, said court being a Court of Record having a seal, do hereby certify that James T. Hancock, whose official signature appears to the above and foregoing certificate is and was at the time of signing the form, a duly qualified and regularly commissioned Justice of the Peace in and for said county, and that full faith and credit should be had and given to his activities and doings as such.
