STATE OF TENNESEE, COUNTY OF HAMILTON. THIS Indenture, made and entered into this the fifth day of December, in the Year of our Lord Nineteen Hundred and Thirty Three, by and between The Volunteer State Life Insurance Company as the agent and attorney in fact for Josiah Hill, of Worth County, Georhia, deceased, as party of the first part, and The Volunteer State Life Insurance Company, hereinafter designated as party of the second part, witnesseth; That Whereas, the said Josiah Hill did on the first day of October, 1921, execute and deliver to The Volunteer State Life Insurance Company his certain security deed con- veying the lands herinafter described for the purpose of securing the payment of a debt therein described which said deed is recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court for Worth County, Georgia, in Volume 31, page 439; and Whereas, Subsequent to the execution of the aforesaid deed, the said Josiah Hill has departed this life, and, in conformity with the power contained in said deed, default having first been made in the payment of the debt thereby secured, said party of the first part having advertised said lands to be sold as the property of Josiah Hill, deceased, once a week for four weeks before said sale in the Sylvester Local, a newspaper published in said county, did, on the Fifth day of December, 1933, expose said lands for sale before the Court House door in the said County between the legal hours of sale, to the highest bidder for cash, at which time the same was knocked off to the party of the second part at and for the hereinafter named, as the highest bidder therfore: Now therefore in consideration of the premises and the sum of One Thousand and no/100($1000.00) dollars, in hand paid, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, said party of the first part does hereby sell, alien and convey unto the party of the second part, its successors and assigns, all of the following lands to wit: Sixty and forty four one hundredths(60.44) acres of lot of land number four hundred and twenty eight(428) and running 1563 feet south, 1 1/4 degrees east; thence 1720 feet north, 89 degrees east; thence 1556 feet north, 1 1/4 degrees west to original lot line; thence 1719 feet south, 89 1/4 degrees west to starting point. These measurements include the right of way of the Hawkinsville and Florida Southern Railway, across said tract of land, containing one and eleven one hundredths (1.11) acres. These measurements according to survey made by C.M. Medders, County surveyor, on March 22, 1921. To have and to hold the above described property, together with all and singular all the rights, members, and appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, its successors and assigns, in as full, complete and simple a manner as the same might have been held by the said Josiah Hill during his life time. In witness whereof, the party of the first part has hereunto set its hand and affixed its seal and delivered these presents, the day and year above written.
