Worth County Deed Book 27, page 69. THIS INDENTURE, made this 2nd day of October, A.D., 1897, between M.J. Bass, of Worth County and State of Georgia, of the first part, and J.S. Hill, of Macon county, StaTe of Georgia, of the second part: WITNESSETH, that the party of the first part for and in consideration of One Hundred & Eight 75/100 ($108.75) dollars in hand paid the receipt of whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, sold, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents does sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple the following land, to-wit: Seventy-four & one-quarter acres, more or less, of lot of land No. 269 in the 7th district Worth County, Georgia, described as follows: Beginning at south-west corner of 106 1/4 acre tract of land which W.H. Lawson now lives on, and running west along land line 593 acre tract known as the coleman place, thence north six hundred & five yards to Mrs. I. Underwood land, thence east to 106 acre tract, thence south to starting point. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said bargained premises together with all and singular the appurtenances and hereditaments thereunto belonging and the reverssion and remainders, rents, issues and profits, and all the estate, title, interest and demand of the party of the first part in law and equity, of, in and to the premises and appurtenances, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises and appurtenances to said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever; and the said party of the first part, by these presents for his heirs, executors and administrators, will forever warrant and defend said premises and every part thereof to said party of the second part, their heirs and assigns against all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same. Before the undersigned officer of said Sate and County duly authorized by law to administer oaths, personally came E.H. Lee, who on oath says that he saw M.J. Bass, sign seal and deliver the within deed, for the purpose therein mentioned, and at the time as therein mentioned; that deponent subscribed the same as a witmess in the presence of said M.J.
