AN OLD BIBLE
Which Seems to Have a Remarkable History

Poulan, Ga., August 16--(Special)--Mr. E.L. Gardner, of this place has in his 
possession a Bible, leather binding, clasp broken.  On the inside of the front 
cover card is:  "Ladies Aid Association, Montgomery, Ala."  On the first 
leaf:  "To David A vaughn, from his sister, Anna, by request of his dying 
mother.  Rochelle, July 5th, 1859."

This Bible came into his possession during 1864.  He has been unable to find 
the owner or any trace of the family, to whom he is anxious to return it.
