Bridges, prominent Worth county man, was killed instantly when his car ran off an embankment near here about 7 o’clock tonight. He had just gotten a block of ice from a local ice concern and as he left the ice house drove off the embankment, being pinned beneath his machine. It is supposed that he had a stroke of apoplexy. He was about 58 years old and is survived by his widow and four sons, J.B., W.L., Hugh and Leonard Bridges, and five daughters, Mrs. B.R. Glover, Mrs. W.H. Jenkins and Misses Irene, Erline and Sarah Bridges, all of Sumner, Ga. Funeral services and interment probably held at Sumner Monday afternoon.
