Born Nov. 17, 1922 in Dooly County to the late Thomas Watson and Fannie Barfield Hobbs, she had lived in Worth County since 1972 when she moved there from Enigma. She was a homemaker who loved attending gospel sings, working in her yard, cooking, her in-home childcare, and being with and loving her family. S She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Sylvester and the O.P.E.L. S Sunday School class and served on the flower and card committee for many years. S She was preceded in death by her husband, Ashley Fletcher Culpepper, who died M May 28, 1980. Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Darlene and Myron Harper of Alapaha, and Barbara Oliver and Connie Watson both of Sylvester; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Jerolyn Culpepper of Enigma, Donnie and Deborah Culpepper and Danny and Kay Culpepper, all of Sylvester; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-child. Funeral services were held June 26 at 11 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church with th the Revs. Tim Oliver, Jerry Cooper and James Chambers officiating. Interment was in Red Oak Cemetery. Banks Funeral Home of Sylvester was in charge of arrangements.
