J.A. HILL BURIED IN SYLVESTER Mr. J.A. Hill, who died in Charleston, SC on Aug. 5 was brought to Sylvester and buried in the cemetery here on Wednesday of last week. Mr. Hill lived in Sylvester several years ago and was well known here. He was a cousin to Mr. G.A. Hill of Sylvester. Surviving him besides his wife is one daughter, Mrs. Karl R. Porter of Waycross and one son Mr. Paul Hill of Buffalo, N.Y. A short funeral service was held at the grave, conducted by Rev. T.O. Lambert and Rev. Charles Willis. The funeral arrangements were in charge of Mr. T.A. Spurlin, mortician. The pallbearers were Messrs. W.T. Barnes, H.W. Alderman, W.T. Davis, Bill Chapman, W.A. Royal and J.H. Bryant. Additional Comments: John A. Hill, a life-long railroad employee, was the son of Hamilton Henry Hill and Mary A. J. "Mollie" Morris Murray. He was born February 2, 1868 in Taylor County.
