W.A. Harris, of Worth, one of the best known men in the state, died last Friday afternoon of heart disease. He was a delegate to the state convention, but took to his bed on his return home. He served his country with distinction in the Mexican and Confederate wars. He was in the state senate in 1859 and again in 1873, since which time he has been the secretary of the senate. A man with an exceeding sunny disposition he numbered his friends by his acquaintances.
