Obituary for Ressa Suggs, 

Mrs. Suggs, Sylvester, Dies: Funeral Today (10 May 1971)
Funeral services for Mrs. Reesa Suggs of Sylvester, who died Monday at Worth 
County Hospital, were held today at 3 pm at Acorn Pond Baptist Chruch.
The Rev. Jim Britt officiated. Burial was in Odom Cemetery.
Born Feb. 26, 1904 in Thomas County. Mrs. Suggs was the daughter of Jimmy 
Murphy and Lizzie Kennedy Murphy. She had lived in Worth County 22 years and 
was the widow of Charlie Green Suggs who died in 1956.
Survivors are: two sons, Charlie Wade Suggs of Poulan and Kenneth Suggs of 
Perry: eight daughters, Mrs. Mattie Lou Ogletree of Tifton, Miss Annie Bell 
Suggs, Mrs. Dorothy Conoly and Miss Lois Suggs, all of Sylvester, Ms. Jimmie 
Ruth Oliver of Perry, Mrs. Joyce Shank of St. Petersburg, Fla. Mrs. Jeanette 
Lewis and Mrs. Geneva Caulder, both of Poulan: three brothers Lewis Murphy of 
Sycamore, Georgia Murphy of Lakeland, Fla. and Howard Murphy of Tifton: five 
sisters, Mrs. Berta Massey of Albany, Mrs. Pearl Bailey of Cordele, Mrs. 
Florence Nichols, Mrs. Florie Britt and Mrs. Ora Lou Battle of Lakeland Fla.: 
27 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Banks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
