 Joseph (Joe) Smith

   Mr. Joseph (Joe) Smith, 95, died Saturday, December 13, 1997.
  Mr. Smith was born May 9, 1902, in Sylvester the son of Joseph and Emma Yate 
Smith. 
He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
 Survivors include six children, Ida Mae Adama of Cordele, Ms;Quincy Rush of 
Ocala, FL; 
Lola Floyd of
Jacksonville, FL; Joesphine Hammett of Miami, FL; Martiel Williams of Cordele 
and 
JoEvelyn Adams of Macon; six stepchildren; 31 grandchildren; 79 great-
grandchildren; 
66 great-great grandchildren
and a dear friend, Annie Bell Brooklin.
 Funeral services were held Saturday, December 20, 1997 at 2 p.m.at Bethlehem 
Baptist Church with
Rev. Hubert Coney officiating.
  Pallbearers were his grandchildren.
 Davis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
