The photo was taken at the Old Brooks Family Cemetery located off Whiddon Mill
Road. This is the headstone as I found it. As you can see his headstone was
toppled over and broken. It reads John F. Brooks Sept 19 1937 Jan 21 1918 His
End Was Peaceful. Father We and the rest is missing. A substantial piece
apparently broke off and I have yet to find it. There are 4 graves located here.
His wife and two daughters who died at an early age are buried here with John.
He was my Great Great Grandfather.

This cemetery is listed in the book titled "Worth County Cemeteries". It was
surveyed in 1982 and was intact.

Additional Comments:
I am in the process of trying to get the county to help restore the cemetery. It
hasn't been taken care of in a long time. In 2010, I'm digging the headstones
out from under the trees that were cut down so the pivot  get over it. Also, all
the headstones were toppled over and partially buried in the ground.
