Chapman of Waterloo, Id., announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret, to Douglas Dauterman, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Roy Dauterman, of Bowling Green, O. No date for the wedding has been announced. Miss Chapman attended Lindenwood college, St. Charles, Mo., and graduated from the school of nursing, University of Minnesota. She is employed by the department of health in Hilo, as a public health nurse. Mr. Dauterman graduated from Bowling Green State university and received his master degree in music from Indiana university. During the war he was lieutenant in the navy, billeted on the USS Dayton as a gunnery officer. The major part of his service was spent in the Pacific theater. He is band instructor at Hilo intermediate school. Miss Chapman left recently by air for a month visit to her home. She will attend the wedding of Miss Betty Stupka to John K. Harbottle on May 1 at St. Paul, Minn.
