Orr jessicanorr@gmail.com March 2, 2012, 7:16 pm UNKNOWN NEWSPAPER 1948 The will of Miss Emily Pauahi Judd, a daughter of Charles Hastings Judd, chamberlain to King Kalakaua, was filed for probate Tuesday in the circuit court. Miss Judd died at the age of 83 while visiting in Menlo Park, Calif., Feb. 13. Her estate is estimated at more than $50,000, and is left for the benefit of two friends and grandnieces. Under the will bequests of personal jewelry are made to Miss Vida M. Jones, a friend; Mrs. Emily P. Vincent of Puunene, Maui, a grandniece; Mrs. Margaret L. Judd Elredge of Lanai City, a niece; and Miss Gwendolyn Judd of Boston, a grandniece. A trust funds provides that Miss Emily Low, 2047 Bingham St., a companion of Miss Judd, be given $25 a month for life. After her death the income from the estate is to go to Miss Jones. After the deaths of Miss Low and Miss Jones the estate is to be divided equally among the children of Miss Judd’s niece, Mrs. Catherine J. Vincent. The Hawaiian Trust Co. is the trustee and the executor of the estate.
