UNKNOWN NEWSPAPER 1948
  Washington, Jan 23 (UP) – The air force today named 10 air fields in honor 
of officers who died in the service of their country.  
  The announcement came in a re-designation of all air force installations as 
air force bases.
  The 10 fields include: Dillingham air force base, Oahu island Hawaii, named 
in honor of Capt Henry G. (Gay) Dillingham, killed on a bombing mission over 
Kawasaki, Japan, July 25, 1945. He was born in New Port, Minn.
