Leedom of Philadelphia, Pa., with the Rev. Henry P. Judd performing the ceremony before a background of palms and mock orange. From papyrus pedestals fell crown flower leis. The family pews were marked by like leis. The Rev. Edward Kahale, pastor of the church, gave the benediction in Hawaiian. The lovely bride, who was given in marriage by John T. Waterhouse, was gowned in ice blue satin designed with shawl neckline, bustle, long sleeves and flowing train. Her chapel-length veil of illusion was attached to a simple bandeau. She carried white beaumontia accented with satin scrolls. Mrs. Leon K. Sterling, Jr. was matron of honor and was frocked in a grey faille ballerina gown styled with shawl neckline. She wore a tulle bandeau fastened with bow and carried a French bouquet of blush pink blossoms detailed with satin scrolls. Mrs. Austin N. Turner was her sister’s other attendant and wore a pastel aqua blue gown similar to that of the matron of honor’s. She carried shaded gerbera. The mother of the bride chose a grey crepe gown complemented by coral feather hat and her leis were of pikake. For going away the young Mrs. Leedom selected a blue chambray ensemble. Best man was Fred Matthews. Ushers included Arthur Rowland, Mr. Sterling, John Parks and Mr. Turner. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Royal Hawaiian hotel’s ballroom distinctively decorated with white gladioli flown from Hawaii. The theme note of crown flower leis was again repeated. On the bridal table, the wedding cake was surrounded by white orchids. During the reception hours Hawaiian music was played. The newlyweds will spend their honeymoon on Maui and Hawaii and will be at home after February 1 at 3040 Holei St. The bride was graduated from Birmingham school in Birmingham, Pa., and from Mount Holyoke college in South Hadley, Mass. Mr. Leedom who was graduated from Towne Scientific school and the University of Pennsylvania, is associated with the Hawaiian Pineapple Co., Ltd. He belongs to Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. During the war he served with the Navy.
