Honolulu Star-Bulletin May 1, 1948
 On the social calendar for May 15 are the nuptials of Miss Roselle Robinson 
and James H. Armitage which will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic church.
 The Rev. Father Matthew Alencastre, pastor of the church, will officiate.
 The event is to be followed by a reception at the Kahala home of Mr. and Mrs. 
William H. Charlock Jr.
 The bride to be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anson F. Robinson of 
Honolulu. Mr. Armitage is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Armitage, formerly 
of Hilo and now of San Carlos, Calif.
 Miss Geraldine Robinson will attend her sister as maid of honor. Miss Heather 
Damon and the bride elect's cousin, Miss Virginia (Ginger) Charlock will be 
bridesmaids.
 John R. Armitage of Honolulu will be best man for his brother.
 In the usher corps will be Francis Morgan, brother in law of the benedict 
elect, Chapin Littlejohn, James Clarke, Philip Springer, John Bustard and 
James A. Robinson.
 Pre-nuptial parties have honored the affianced pair. On April 9 Mr. and Mrs. 
James A. Robinson honored them with a bar shower at their Honolulu home.
 Miss Robinson was honored April 11 with a miscellaneous shower and luncheon. 
Hostess was Mrs. Charles W. Spitz and the party was given at her Wilder Ave. 
home.
 The young couple were honor guests at a brunch and kitchen shower April 18. 
Mrs. Julia Waterhouse Damon and her daughter Heather, who will be the bride 
elect's maid of honor, were hostesses.
 Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Henshaw entertained the couple with a canned food shower 
last Sunday afternoon at their Country Club Rd. home. A sukiyaki dinner was 
served.
