Honolulu Star-Bulletin May 1, 1948
 Mrs. Eliza Moyle Benny celebrates her 86th birthday today.
 Mrs. Benny has been a resident of Hawaii for 43 years. She was born in 
Plymouth, Devonshire, England, in 1862 and sailed in 1883 for Australia.
 In 1905 she came to Hawaii with her seven children, five of whom are 
residents of Honolulu. They are: Louis Benny, pastor of Kaimuki Christian 
church; Richard, Cecil and Christopher Benny, jewelers, and Mrs. Thomas C. D. 
Gibson.
 Two other sons, Frank and Fred are in Australia.
 Mrs. Benny has 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
