Pratt, a much beloved kamaaina of Honolulu, is today celegrating* her 80th birthday anniversary at the family home, 2084 Nuuanu Ave. Her daughters and daughters in law have planned a birthday tea and many old friends are invited to greet her between the hours of 4 and 6 today. Quantities of lovely flowers will grace the rooms and the tea table will be attractive with a centerpiece of yellow roses. Serving iced coffee and pouring tea during the afternoon are Mrs. John Stone, Mrs. Shannon Walker, Mrs. Steele Stewart, Mrs. Arthur Myhre, Mrs. Arthur Keller, Mrs. William Hoogs, Mrs. Dickson Hitchcock and Miss Lilla Annis. A big birthday cake, twinkling with candles will be a feature of are refreshment table. J. Scott B. Pratt, a resident of Kauai, came over for the occasion. Mrs. Pratt is visiting on the mainland. Receiving the guests and assisting around the rooms will be Mrs. Pratt’s daughters and the wives of her sons, including Mrs. Harry P. Field, Mrs. Francis Bowers, Mrs. Arthur J. Wriston, Mrs. Kenneth Pratt, Mrs. C. Dudley Pratt, Mrs. J. Dickson Pratt. Another daughter, Hester Pratt Richardson (Mrs. G. H.) has recently gone to the mainland. Mrs. Pratt is wearing today a frock of powder blue crepe and her flowers are orchids. Throughout the afternoon a group of Hawaiian singing girls are furnishing delightful music, many of the old-time favorites of the guest of honor being in their repertoire. Mrs. Pratt’s late husband, Dr. J. S. B. Pratt, was president of the Honolulu Board of Health until 1918 after which he was with the United States public health service until his death. Dr. and Mrs. Pratt made Honolulu their home more than 50 years ago.
