Private services were held Thursday. Her ashes were scattered at sea. Williams Mortuary assisted with the arrangements. Mrs. Jensen, of 98-1101 Kaonohi St., Aiea, was a native of Denmark. She made a specialty in the cuisine of Europe, Scandanavia and other foreign countries for many years. She was associated with the International Institute of the YWCA and made frequent television appearances with Napua Stevens. She was a past president of the Swe-Nor-Den Club. Working with the Aloha Club, she often wrote warm "letters from ome" to husbands transferred to other parts of the United States, bringing the sense of old friends and the home town through the mail. A newspaper article in 1955 saud: "When one of the young women has a baby, 'Mama' Jensen is usually the first to be informed by the happy husband and father." She also visited the mother and brought flowers to the hospital. Mrs. Jensen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is survived by a grandson and two great-granddaughters.
