Orr jessicanorr@gmail.com July 6, 2012, 2:00 pm Honolulu Advertiser, Tuesday, February 19, 1963 Kaahu Rites Set Saturday Services for Mrs. Libby Kaahu, 66 of 54-021 Kukuna Road, Hauula, will be at noon Saturday at the Hauula Hawaiian Congregational Church Hall, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Oahu Cemetery. The funeral services will be conducted by the Hauula Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The family asks that flowers be omitted. Borthwick Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. Mrs. Kaahu died Saturday in Kahuku Hospital. She was born Dec. 19, 1896, in Kaupo, Maui. Surviving are five sons, James, Mathew, John, Elmer, and Joseph Kaahu; five daughters, Mrs. Marian Kahana, Mrs. Minnie Crampton of California, Mrs. Julia Pahia, Mrs. Agnes Alo of Colorado and Mrs. Elizabeth Kanoa; seven brothers, Richard Smith, Louis Smith of Maui, Anthony Smith, Boniface Smith, Miller Bridges of New Jersey, Elmer Bridges of Aouth America and Ambrose Bridges; 10 sisters, Elizabeth Fernandez of Maui, Ellen Kamai, Alice Wong, Hannah Jan, Mary Kaawamo of Maui, Roseline Kauloko of Guam, Martha Chang of Maui, Myra Deponte, Marian Whitehead and Anona Rogers of Washington; 53 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
