Orr jessicanorr@gmail.com October 29, 2014, 3:30 am Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Friday, March 13, 1964 Mrs. Lucy Puahi Mrs. Lucy Margaret Puahi, 53, of 2410 Kaululaau Street, died Sunday at home from heart disease. Six of her eight children have served a total of 65 years in the U.S. Armed Services. She was born in Honolulu January 11, 1911. She leaves five sons, former Army Staff Sergeant James K. Hatchie, of Los Angeles; Staff Sergeant Joseph K. Hatchie, U. S. Army, Germany; former National Guardsman Andrew A. M. Hatchie, of Honolulu; Airman First Class Harry K. Hatchie, Hickam Air Force Base; Specialist 4 Herman K. Hatchie, Fort Benning, Georgia. She is also survived by three daughters, former WAVE, Mrs. William (Margaret M.H.) Prescott, of Leesville, Louisiana; Ruby H. Hatchie of Honolulu and Gladiola A. M. Hatchie of Los Angeles; a brother, Kilinahi Puahi; six sisters, Mrs. Helelani Tablit, Mrs. Helen Baldimor, Mrs. Annie Benzon, Mrs. Rachel Baclig, Mrs. Esther Na-O, and Mrs. Viola P. Lee, and by 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Williams Mortuary at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, the Reverend Abraham K. Akaka officiating, and at 1 p.m. Monday in Kawaiahao Church, the Reverend Edward Kapoo officiating. Burial will follow in Oahu Cemetery. Friends may call at Williams Mortuary from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday.
