ROBINSON, HONOLULU NATIVE, DIES AT AGE OF 91 Funeral services will be held at 3 Friday afternoon at Borthwick mortuary for George Durham Robinson, 91, who died Wednesday* at a local hospital. The island man, who made his home at 1651 Frog lane, was born in Honolulu in 1856 during the reign of Kamehameha IV. He was once a mounted police officer under Sheriff Curtis Iaukea. He lived during the reigns of Kamehameha V, Lunalilo, Kalakaua and Queen Liliuokalani, in addition to the formation of the Hawaiian Republic and the annexation to the United States. He was married to Ida Kawananakoa Kahalewai, who died in 1938. Mr. Robinson is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Anna Owens, Mrs. Watty Lemon, Mrs. Ada V. Vida and Mrs. Adele Lemke; two sons, Nelson N. Robinson and George D. Robinson Jr.; a brother, Henry P. Robinson; 32 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Borthwick mortuary from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Nuuanu cemetery.
