ROBINSON, KAMAAINA, DIES IN HOSPITAL William Tate Robinson, 80, well known kamaaina of 1118 Hassinger St., Honolulu, died at the Queen’s hospital at 6:10 Monday* morning after an illness of several months. Date and hour of the funeral services, which will be private, are not being announced by the family. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Mr. Robinson was born in Honolulu September 24, 1867, the son of Hannah Previer and George Thomas Robinson. He was educated at the old Fort St. school and at Punahou school. For many years, he was tax assessor for the island of Maui and was territorial senator from that island from 1909 to 1917. He retired from government service in 1933. Mr. Robinson was married June 25, 1891 in Wailuku, Maui, to Ellen K. Ferreira of Maui. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Honolulu in 1941. Besides his widow, he is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Eva R. Hart, Mrs. R. W. Smythe, Mrs. Thelma MacKinzie and Mrs. Ululani R. Collins, all of Honolulu, Miss Hannah E. Robinson of San Francisco and Mrs. Alma Alkire of Sacramento; four sons, Anson F. Robinson, W. Tate Robinson Jr., Lawrence T. Robinson, and A. G. M. Robinson; 22 grandchildren; three great granddaughters and two brothers, George Durham Robinson and Henry Previer Robinson, both of Honolulu. Additional Comments: *Notation date is December 29, 1947.
