SHAWK - Mavis H. Shawk, 84, of Olympia, Wash, died Tuesday. She was born in 
Mariposa, Calif., and worked for many years as a secretary at Alexander & 
Baldwin Ltd., and as a clerk for the late Circuit Judge Wilson C. Moore. She 
was a longtime Christian Science practitioner. No services. Ashes to be 
scattered at sea. Survived by husband, Dr. Harry R., a retired Navy captain, 
son, A. Peter Howell, grandsons, David W. and Brian C. Howell; sister Marion L. 
Steinhauser and a niece.
