Orr jessicanorr@gmail.com March 6, 2012, 9:22 pm The Honolulu Advertiser, November 27, 1958 David Silva Rites Set A requiem mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Cathedral for David Benjamin Silva, 67, of 1409 Lusitana St., who died Nov. 21 at his home. Friends may call at Ordenstein's mortuary from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 7 a.m. Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Oahu Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted from the funeral and instead donations may be made in his memory to St. Stephen's Seminary. He is survived by a son, Robert Silva of California; a daughter, Mrs. Murial S. Parkinson of California; three brothers, Alvin, Henry and Frank Silva; three sisters, Mrs. H. K. Kellner of Hilo, Mrs. Elvira Andrade and Mauguerite L. Silva, and eight grandchildren. Mr. Silva was a retired employe of the Liberty House and a member of the Ancient Order of Forresters, Court Canoes No. 8110 and the Holy Name Society.
