Steadman, 58, of 3136 Alika Avenue, Dowsett Tract, at 4:30 tomorrow afternoon at Kawaiahao Cemetery. The wife of A. E. Steadman, chairman of the board of Cooke Trust Company, Mrs. Steadman died about 6 a.m. yesterday at Queen’s Hospital. She had been in the hospital for about two weeks. Born August 11, 1901, Mrs. Steadman was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence H. Cooke. As Martha Love Cooke she was married to Mr. Steadman May 15, 1926, in Honolulu. A graduate of Punahou School and Bryn Mawr College, she was a trustee of Punahou School and the Honolulu Academy of Arts, and a member of the Daughters of Hawaii. The Reverend Kenneth O. Rewick, chaplain of Punahou School, will officiate at the services. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Contributions in Mrs. Steadman’s name may be made to Punahou School. Survivors include her husband; three sons, John M. Steadman, a San Francisco attorney; Richard C. Steadman, with a Wall Street investment banking house; and David W. Steadman, a senior at Harvard University; three brothers, Harrison R. and Robert M. Cooke of Honolulu, and John S. Cooke of Carmel, California; and two sisters, Mrs. E. Lewers (Dorothea) Paris of Kaneohe, and Mrs. Roger (Alice) Kent of Kentfield, California.
