Orr jessicanorr@gmail.com February 28, 2014, 6:11 pm The Honolulu Advertiser, Sunday, June 2, 1935 MITCHELL KALA Mitchell Kala, of South Queen street, passed away at 2 a.m. yesterday at the Queen's hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at Borthwick's mortuary, where the body will be on view after 7 o'clock this morning. Burial will be in the Diamond Head Memorial Park, Kaimuki. Kala, who was winch operator with the Inter-Island Steam Navigation Company for 20 years, was born in Kaupo, Maui, on April 12, 1884, and was in his fifty-second year. He was not married.
