Orr jessicanorr@gmail.com September 22, 2016, 3:27 pm Honolulu Advertiser, Saturday, June 25, 1955 Anna Wong, Teacher, Dies Mrs. Anna Ai Chang Wong, 56, of 414 Liliha Court Lane, teacher with the Department of Public Instruction for 38 years, died yesterday morning at St. Francis hospital. Services will be held at the Nuuanu Memorial Park mortuary next Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Jow officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary that day after 9 a.m. Interment will be in the family plot at the Nuuanu Memorial Park cemetery. Mrs. Wong, who first taught at Waialua school and Kauluwela school since 1918, was born Dec. 7, 1898 in Hanamaulu, Kauai. Surviving are her husband, Charles Chau Wong of the Territorial tax office, a son, Vernon Jackie Wong; a daughter-in-law, Jean Lau Wong; two grandchildren, Alan and Sharon Wong; her mother, Mrs. Chang Hu; five brothers, Achong, James Ai, Ken Ai, Morris Ai and Wallace Ai Chang, and four sisters, Mrs. Alice Wong of Shanghai, China, Mrs. Emma Yim, Mrs. Charlotte Chung and Mrs. Eleanor Chong.
