Orr jessicanorr@gmail.com December 12, 2012, 8:42 pm Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Saturday, May 1, 1948 Viola Anderson Weds Capt. Gibson Mrs. Viola M. Anderson of Chicago, and Capt. Walter L. Gibson were married at chapel No. 1, Hickam field by Lt. Paul Raynor, navy chaplain, in an afternoon ceremony April 24. Capt. Gibson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter F. Gibson of Seattle, and the former Mrs. Anderson is the daughter of Carl Malmfeldt of Chicago, and Tucson, Ariz. The bride wore a pale pink linen suit and carried white orchids with pikaki streamers. She was attended by Mrs. Albert Knudson who wore a blue linen suit and carried an orchid corsage. Capt. Knudson was best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held for their friends at the Hickam Field officers' club. The couple will honeymoon at the Royal Hawaiian hotel for a few days then bisit the island of Hawaii. They plan to make their home in Waikiki. Capt. Gibson is a passenger handling officer with the 1521st air force base unit, Pacific division, air transport command at Hickam field.
