Orr jessicanorr@gmail.com October 30, 2014, 2:57 am Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Thursday, February 18, 1943 Pearl Chang Recent Bride The First Chinese Church of Christ was the setting for the recent marriage of Miss Pearl Sam Moi Chang, daughter of Mrs. Chang Hook, to Halley Henry Ontai, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ontai. The ceremony took place at 1 p.m. January 10 with the Rev. Fung Tet Yin officiating. The bride was dressed in a gown of white satin styled with a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice and a full skirt which ended in a train. Her fingertip veil was of net trimmed with lace and was held in place with a pearl coronet. She carried a bouquet of white butterfly orchids. Mrs. Mabel Chang Pang was matron of honor in a gown of green organza accented with talisman roses and porana. Bridesmaids included Miss Violet K. Y. Chang, and Mesdames Amy Ontai Sonada and Alma Ontai Pung. They were gowned in pastel colors and carried roses and porana. Little Ruby Pang was flower girl. She was frocked in yellow organza and carried a yellow basket of flowers. Best man was Paul Al Pung and ushers, Calvin Ontai, Henry K. C. Chang and Raymond W. M. Chang.
