Peterson and Frank Richardson Pierce Jr. took place Saturday morning at the Church of the Crossroads. The Rev. Charles C. Hoskinson performed the simple ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, David L. Peterson, the bride wore a shell pink ballerina dress detailed with bustle back and puffed sleeves, and matching pink ballerina slippers. MacFarlane roses, Shasta daisies and forget me nots were fastened in her hair. Mrs. Deane N. Shepard of Kalama was her sister's matron of honor. She wore a rose yellow ballerina dress, with Parma violets and Shasta daisies as her flowers. Howard W. Bennett was best man. Miss Kim Kimmel played "I Hear the Song of the Islands" and three other compositions of the bride's brother, Mel Peterson of Hollywood, for the wedding music. In the few minutes following the ceremony before the couple flew to Hana, Maui, for their honeymoon, their happiness was toasted in champagne at the Koa Ave. home of the bride's parents. The bride attended Punahou school. Mr. Pierce is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank R. Pierce of Seattle. Now with Castle & Cooke, Ltd., he attended the University of Washington and is a Phi Delta Theta.
