A Japanese woman named Kiyoshi Agawa fell into the stream, or canal, above the old Koloa mill about 10 o'clock last Thursday morning and, being unable to swim, was drowned. The water was quite deep at the place. The woman presumably went down to the stream preliminary to doing some washing, and circumstances point to the conclusion that she slipped into the water. A coroner's jury returned a verdict of accidental drowning.
