FOUNTAIN, ROBERT
IN MEMORY OF ROBERT FOUNTAIN.  In simple justice to the memory of Robert Fountain, 
recently deceased, we would recall the kindly qualities which made him always a 
popular and friendly member of the community and disposed everyone to like him. He 
spent most of his life here at Lihue and a very large part of it in the employ of 
what is now the Lihue Store. For some years back, he had been in charge of the 
grocery department where he gave excellent satisfaction. Everyone liked to deal 
with Robert. He was always courteous, attentive, obliging, and efficient. He 
always impressed his patrons as doing the best he could for them. Personally he 
was genial, generous, and kindly, with a good word for everybody and an honest 
desire to make friends with everyone.
