GASPAR, MANUEL SILVA
AGED CITIZEN DIES.  Manuel Silva Gaspar, an aged and highly respected member of 
the Hanamaulu Portuguese colony, died at his home at four o'clock Sunday morning 
after a lingering illness, death being caused from tuberculosis. Deceased was 65 
years old and leaves a widow and five children to mourn his loss. He has been a 
resident of Hanamaulu for the last 20 years, being a trustworthy employee until 
two years ago since which time he has been confined to his bed, gradually growing 
weaker unto the end. Funeral services were held at the Kapaia Catholic church at 5 
PM Sunday, Father Herman officiating, interment taking place in the Kapaia church 
cemetery.
