HOOKANO, WILLIAM
KAAMAINA POLICEMAN DIES.  William Hookano, aged 52, who for over 20 years was on the

police force in Lihue, died at his home Sunday afternoon. Hookano was raised by his

uncle, Sam Kaeo, who took charge of him when he was an orphan of 6 years of age. Mr.

and Mrs. Hookano have had a large family of children, 21 in all, 7 of whom are 
living.
