Iwasaki, Japanese, married, wife and one child, aged 41, employed by Grove Farm and living at Halehaka, Lihue, took dichloride of mercury early Saturday afternoon with suicidal intent and died in the Lihue hospital at 5 PM of the same day. A postmortem examination revealed the fact that he was suffering from ulcers of the stomach and could not have lived more than a few days anyway. A coroner's jury empanelled on the case inquired carefully into the facts yesterday morning and returned a verdict that death was due to the poison taken.
