George Jamieson, lately head luna at Kilauea plantation and a resident of Hawaii for more than a quarter of a century, died late Monday night, February 17, at 628 Wyllie Street, Honolulu. Mr. Jamieson came to Hawaii 27 years ago, going upon Waiakea plantation, Hawaii, but when the Klondike opened, he joined the rush. He returned to the Islands about 20 years ago and again took up plantation service. He was employed at Pepeekeo and Honokaa plantations during this time. Mr. Jamieson is survived by a sister in Scotland and two sisters here, Miss Mary Jamieson and Mrs. William Piper. He was a cousin of William, John, and George Chalmers. The funeral was held last Tuesday at 3 o'clock, services being held in Masonic Temple, he having been a 32nd degree Mason.
