A most unfortunate accident happened some ten days ago in the machine shop of the Lihue mill which resulted fatally to Hermann Jottman, employed there as assistant. Inadvertently he got between the planer and the wall when the returning carriage of the same crushed him against the wall. It was not thought that he was seriously injured, but he was a large man and was standing side on and was taken in the hips. He went to the hospital and died a few days later. He was a very fine young man with a most cheerful, genial, sunny disposition which commended him to everyone.
