Kalalau, Sept. 26--Mrs. Keapoula Kelau, a well-known and respected resident of Kalalau, died here suddenly last week, death supposed to have been due to pneumonia. The deceased will be remembered by a number of those who once accompanied Governor Frear on one of his trips to this place, among whom was one "Jamie" Wilder who was unable to secure a lunch from the good lady on the strength of his being a "Wilder." She was loved by all who knew her and few there are, if any, who have paid this village a call but left here with a pleasant memory of the kindness of this venerable woman. She leaves a husband and a large family to mourn her loss.
