A Chinaman known as Tong Lee, aged 54, married, family in China, fell from a car on a moving train belonging to Grove Farm at an early hour last Wednesday morning, was run over by the car on which he had been riding and one other car, and was killed. The car on which the dead man had been riding was the next to the last one of the train. A Chinaman named Chow Kwai, Japanese named K. Yoshimoto, and the deceased were sitting together, or near together, when the accident occurred. It is claimed by some that Tong Lee was sitting on the handle of which he had turned low and was holding with his hands, and was in that position when the car left the track. The coroner's jury consisted of J. E. Rapoza, H. C. Sheldon, W. A. Fernandez, Chris Holt, Joseph Lovell, and Eddie Kanoho. After hearing, the jury returned the following verdict: "That Tong Lee came to his death by falling between the car and being run over by two cars."
