ADAM LINDSAY DIES IN CALIFORNIA News of the death of Mrs. Adam Lindsay on March 12 in Riverside, Calif., has been received on Kauai by relatives there. Mrs. Lindsay (Annie McDonald) was a native of Scotland. She is survived by the widower, two sons, two daughters and five grandsons, all living in California. Adam Lindsay is the only surviving son of Alexander and Isabel Lindsay, Kauai pioneers who came to the islands from Scotland October 29, 1881 and founded a ranch at Moloaa, Kauai on land that is now cultivated by the Hawaiian Canneries Co. Ltd. A son, the late Alexander Lindsay Jr., was a prominent Honolulu attorney, a partner in the law firm of the late E. A. Mott-Smith and attorney general of the territory from 1910 to 1913. Two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth L. Ewart and Mrs. Isabel Hoog, live at Lihue, Kauai. A third daughter Mrs. H. P. Faye, Sr., lives in Berkley, Calif. H. P. Faye of American Factors, Ltd., Lindsay and Alan E. Faye of Kauai are grandsons of this pioneer family. Additional Comments: Year of death from other source.
